In each of three filmic vignettes, a geometric shape or sculpture (triangle, circle, or square) is inserted into a natural landscape. The resulting synchronized triptych of timed projections creates a physical song generated by the implied instrumentation of the action in each film. A wind-powered dice sculpture “performs” a percussive beat, a boat pulling stunt water skiers building up to a pyramid supplies a horn section, while a feral cat colony is captured amidst compositions of orange balls seem to supply a synthesizer sound. Taken in its entirety, the installation meditates on collaborations with nature and the implied musicality of natural scenes.
