Mixed media film with spoken dictation, intended for live, cinematic reading. The text is inspired by meditations on North Carolina’s Outer Banks made during a series trips during the Nor’easters of 2010. The film explores the majestic, storied landscape through intense, somewhat desperate documentation— writing, sound recording, filming, photography, leaving 500lbs of clay in the sand to capture a trace winter’s hand in some physical medium— all come together in an effort to articulate the awesomeness of coastal storms. Scored by Nathan Halverson. This is an 8 minute excerpt with recorded narration and "reading script" as subtitle text.
