This short film connects imagined sound to an inanimate form. A hot air balloon is joined in mid-launch by a soprano whose corporeality emphasizes the similarities between warm air manifesting in song and the heated air slowly building up to flight. As the balloon floats into the air, its embodied quality shifts from esophageal to ocular, and we see the landscape passing below as if from the perspective of a spirit.
